Like already mentioned, this movie with characters and a plot devolves into a senseless disco orgy... really very weird.

I don't know, venomlegions2. At about that time (1980) it became almost compulsory for any adult film to include at least one orgy scene. I think it was in keeping with the times. Production values were very high back then. It was still that porno chic period. Video and the rise of the amateur had not yet arrived. I think they were trying to meet viewers' expectations, and viewers (read: dudes) expected an orgy. I think they offered something more by trying to insert some dance choreography into the disco orgy scene(s), so I give the producers/director props for this one.

This flick (aka Intimate Illusions) starts out for all the world looking like it's going to have an exceptional plot...the car chases, character development, intertwined storylines, etc. ... but then, somewhat randomly, gives it all up midway through and wraps everything with a massive orgy at a disco. It's almost as if everyone got high halfway into it, tossed the script aside, and said, "Fuck it. Let's all just go to the disco, listen to music, dance, and fuck each others' brains out." Whatever the case may be, it's something of a shame that the developing plot never really reaches a conclusion, as it starts out so strong.The John Leslie/Phaedra Grant scene is the best... The first part of the John Martin/Elieen Wells scene was good, but the tub fuck was blah....
